Jamaican Recording artist ELDIE ANTHONY of the Reggae Embassy has made history for not only himself but the genre of Reggae and Jamaica as well. He is the first up-and-coming artist in the world who has ever released a full length debut double album at the launch of his career.
His album entitled BREAK FREE consists of two sides. Side one is entitled BREAK FREE – REGGAE VIBRATION which was developed strictly for the Reggae lovers who want authentic Jamaican music with no influence of mainstream music. Both albums were produced by Eldie Anthony and Music Embassies’ Executive Christina Grand. However, many tracks were co-produced with composer/producer Askell of Vision House Records and Eldie’s cousin, David “Jukie” Leckie. Both gentlemen are extremely talented musicians who have been highly supportive of Eldie Anthony’s musical journey and are Reggae Embassy clients as well. Music Embassies’ Musical Director and vocal trainer, Adriana Zabala, co-produced with Ms Grand on the song entitled, “Shut It Down” on the Yaadstream side of the album.
The second side of the album is entitled BREAK FREE – YAADSTREAM. The word Yaadstream had been created by Eldie Anthony and Christina Grand to describe the fusion of Jamaican and Mainstream music. They had presented the title of the fusion genre to the Music Embassies’ board which has been accepted by the Music Embassies and the official Embassy of the Reggae Industry; Reggae Embassy. It is now considered as the official new title of the fusion genre which combines Jamaican music with Mainstream music such as Pop, Hip Hop and R & B. Eldie Anthony’s album, “Yaadstream”, consists of exactly just that and was the perfect title for the album which solidifies the genre’s name.
Many individuals came together to make this album come into existence. The Reggae Embassy, Eldie Anthony and Christina Grand are the Executive Producers. Co-Executive Producers are Reggae Embassy Executive Ormond Russell and numerous family members of Eldie Anthony including both of his parents. Numerous other family members united as well such as; Mary Leckie Cannady, John Eldemire, Roman Cannady, Rudolph Leckie, Donald Leckie, David “Jukie” Leckie, Tamica Ali, Tanisha Darcy, and Samantha Hinds. Eldie Anthony feels humbled by the generous support of so many.
The composers who were invited to be an important part of this album who mostly consist of Reggae Embassy clients are Voltage, Askell, Jukie, Roadz, DJ Lanz 876, DJ Rhome, El Toro, Asha D, Steve Richards, Bena, Sens High, Spider, Mantis Tan Tan, J Cannon, DJ Vegas, Skitta, Dugal, and Signature. Voltage Jones of Arkitech Music was responsible for many of the songs’ top quality mix. Eldie and Voltage met at Beres Hammond’s studio where Voltage works as one of Beres’ main engineers.
Eldie Anthony collaborated with many of his Music Embassy-mates such as C-Zer of the Hip Hop Embassy (“So-Easy” – Yaadstream), Fyah Stain of the Reggae Embassy (“Smile” – Reggae Vibration), I-Noble of the Reggae Embassy (“Living for Tomorrow” – Yaadstream), Ma’Niche of the Pop Music Embassy (“Shut it Down” – Yaadstream). Background vocals were done by Digicel Rising Star “Jodian Pantry”, Buju Banton’s sister, “Adena Myrie”, Rhoda Addiman, Maria Smith, Embassy mate and client “Ma’Niche” and Eldie Anthony himself.
Both sides of the BREAK FREE ALBUM are available online on most online stores such as iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and more. Physical sales are available directly through the Reggae Embassy and Music Embassies and can be pre-ordered. Fans can purchase each side separately or the Special Edition album which consists of both sides in one.
